Not everyone out there has a tight knit social circle of stoners and potheads to give them all the information they need to get the most enjoyment out of their habits. I myself was lucky to have friends to teach me how to roll a joint and to clean a glass bong but this is a luxury that not all of us get to have. That’s why this article will give you a few very simple but noteworthy tips and tricks particularly for when it comes to the maintenance and enjoyment of your glass bong.
- Keep it clean. The best thing you can do for yourself and your bong, is to make certain that you routinely give it some quality bath time. When you make a habit of this cleaning process, your bong will always taste its best, and look its best.
- Lemon water. This is one that I only heard of very recently and I’m experiencing some crazy good results from it, plus it goes in combination with the first tip. What to do with the lemon water? Just add a few drops to your lemon water, it’s that simple. I’m no scientist so I can’t explain to you exactly how it works but the acidity or something works wonders to cling onto residues and odors, and will keep that glass bong looking clean for much longer than you might be used to. Add one drop at a time until you notice it beginning to slightly affect the flavor. If you do this, you only need to clean your bong every week or two, and it’ll look like it stays sparkling clean until that weekly wash anyhow.
- Rubber bong caps. Yes, that exists. Different companies sell variations of this, but the essential product is a simple rubber cap that looks a lot like what one might use to close a tupperware or a can. These things are amazing for travel purposes, as well as to contain odors if your circumstances force you to hide your bong somewhere that it perhaps shouldn’t be.
